In Lognbrá we follow the dreamer Høgni from boyhood until he as a man goes to sea. He is the youngest son of the farm of í Túni. Even though the Túni household is held in high regard and the parents of Høgni, Guðrun and Sakir, are skilled farmers, Høgni’s childhood is far from happy. There is no harmony to be found between his parents and in this psychologically unsafe world, full of bullying and harm, the boy withers. He constructs a dreamworld together with the strange girl who looks at him “with her big blue eyes and her lovely yellow hair”.
