Jákup Andreasen resigned as principal of Fiskivinnuskúlin in Vestmanna shortly before COVID-19 became a global issue.
From having been occupied with work every day, there were suddenly available hours for the things he previously never had time for.
Jákup took it upon himself to examine and organize his old photographs. He began passing time by going down memory lane and greeting those he met throughout his upbringing.
Jákup’s identity is firmly rooted in Klaksvík and Kalsoy. As a village boy who involved himself in all sorts of daily work, he met many people, and now he could take the time to remember them.
And that journey is both pleasant and warm.
The book is structured as a collection of photographs containing Jákup’s commentaries and reflections.
