Life takes all kinds of turns. For some, it feels like nothing but a game - for others, it’s a constant struggle.

The poet Janus captures these two diverging paths in his writing:

... One is below, where everything is simple and easy. Many choose that path…
And then there’s the one above.
A path above,
hard to walk,
with little to eat.
- The path trodden by those who wrote history!

At first glance, it sounds as though you can choose between the higher and lower path. But that’s not always the case - certainly not for Arnold.

He was always drawn to creative work. In school, he spent time drawing, and he continued to draw. Eventually, he began to paint.
