Bjargað á opnum havi
When Saigon fell in April 1975, a Vietnamese coaster carrying 3.628 people fled the communists. Three days later, the ship ran into distress at sea and sent out a distress call. The captain, Anton Olsen, and the crew of the coaster Clara Mærsk heard the call and an extraordinary rescue mission commenced.
Now, bestselling authors Jesper Clemmensen and Ole Sønnichsen tell the dramatic yet true tale of one of the world’s greatest rescue missions at sea. The rescue mission also became a part of the violent conclusion to the Vietnam War.
Bjargað á opnum havi (Rescued on the High Seas) is the shocking story of terrifying dilemmas and the violence of war, but also a story of hope and humanity.
