Neyðardýrið
The lonely boy, Oscar, who is the foster child of farmers Eyð and Ólavur, one day notices a child in the woods; a wild child, which he brings back home to the farm. The child has a stunted growth and is without language. But with affection, it begins to develop.
NEYÐARDÝRIÐ (Poor Thing) is a rare, entertaining, and captivating novel about being ostracized and lonely, about desire and affection. Beneath it all lies the question: What constitutes a trauma?
