The title of this collection of poetry is Grannaljóð, meaning neighbouring sounds.

The collection consists of 48 Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish poems that have been translated into Faroese. Many of them are classic poems by H.C. Andersen, Steen Steensen Blicher, B.S. Ingemann, J.L. Heiberg, Kaj Munk, Christian Richardt, Per Sivle, Johan Skjoldborg, and Christian Winther among others.

The poems all have in common the fact that they are well composed, contain great imagery, and carry something relevant to contemporary readers.
