It is said that Jens Christian Svabo was an excellent violin player and Tórshavn has probably always had its musicians, just like it does today. In this comedy the author depicts the musician’s life as it unfolded in the years of his childhood. This was at the start of the 20th century when Hans the baker and his talented pupils, Dia við Stein the ferry man and his sons as well as others left their imprint on the musical life in the capital. A symphony is created around this theme, with strange occurrences and where many wonderous destinies play their part.
