Men lívið livir
Thus far, two volumes of the trilogy by Knut Hamsun about the entrepreneur, August, have been translated and published. These two are the books Landastrokini (Wayfarers) and August. They were translated and read on national radio by Hans Thomsen. The novels continue to be celebrated as some of the very best work by Knut Hamsun.
Now, the third and final volume is hitting bookshelves. The title of the book is Men lívið livir (The Road Leads On), and this masterpiece has been translated by Edvard Olsen.
This time around, we meet an older August. He is, as ever, full of good ideas and good stories, and his spirits are just as high as in the two previous books. We follow him once more through his ambitious initiatives and through his final project unto his death.
