On 3 March 2020, the first case of COVID-19 was found in the Faroe Islands. The borders were closed, the wheels of society slowed down, and people kept mostly to themselves, staying at home.

By 3 September, the number of cases had surpassed 400. For a while, the Faroe Islands was the country with the largest number of infected people per capita in all of Europe.

Through photographs, this book tells the story of what life was like in the Faroes when the pandemic reached the islands, how it impacted people's everyday lives, and what the consequences were.

Bjarni Mohr holds an MA degree in Media Studies from Volda University College in Norway with a specialty in Documentary Photography, he also hold a degree in Journalism from the Danish School of Media and Journalism, and he has been photographing for more than 30 years.
