The exhibition Traces, Becoming - New Faroese Graphic Art goes beyond traditional techniques, presenting graphic works in an expanded graphic vision. Not only does the exhibition contain traditional graphic art made with machines, but also works that have been created by hand or digitally. What the works have in common is a graphic expression or that they, in different ways, stand on the shoulders of the graphic tradition itself, be it in terms of colour, material or style. In a refreshing manner, they go beyond our traditional understanding of the scope of graphic mediums.

The artists in this exhibition are all professional artists working in painting, sculpture, installations, decoration or graphic art. The submitted works explore ways in which the graphic medium can be expanded and developed. Furthermore, several of the artists have helped found graphic workshops and associations which have experimented with and explored various techniques. The artists' repertoire includes significant, monumental decorative graphic works that are displayed in Faroese schools and corporations. 

The exhibiting artists are: Jóna Rasmussen, Astri Luihn, Sigrun Gunnarsdóttir, Jón Sonni Jensen, Kári Svennson, Rannvá Mortensen, Jana Jonhardsóttir and Bárður Dal Christiansen.
